A client of ours has consulted us regarding a Decree Absolute of Dissolution of Marriage purported to have been made in a suit in the Supreme Court of HongKong (Divorce Jurisdiction) which suit was heard whilst our client was interned in the British Civilian Internment Camp (Stanley Camp) Hong Kong.

The suit was heard by Sir Alasdair Duncan Atholl MacGregor who, and ir. L.R. Andreves, Registrar, signed the Decree.

We understand the question of the validity of such Decrees of Dissolution of Harriage is having your consideration and whether it is necessary that validating legislation be passed in respect thereof.

Our client is cacerned as to the position, and we shall appreciate your kindly letting us hear from you fully with rogard thereto.
